Feeling Tired? Here are 6 ways that can help make you feel more energetic:

It does not matter who you are, young or old, everyone wants to live a happy and energetic lifestyle. We have made a list of things for you to try that could help you to start feeling more energetic within a week.

1. Get some sleep. We need rest, and by not getting enough of it at night, our bodies will spend the entire day trying to ration what little energy we have. Get the sleep that you need at night (typically 8 hours, but no less than 6), so that you will be able to spend your day feeling refreshed and energetic. 2. Drink more water. Our bodies are about 72% water, and when we do not replenish our supply, we get dehydrated and lack energy. The suggested amount of water to drink to keep you from exhaustion is about 8 glasses of 8 ounces per day.

3. Be Active. It may seem a little bit counter intuitive, but our bodies need to release energy to feel more energetic. When we do not move around we feel mentally lazy and tired as well as feeling bloated and sore from sitting all day. Try going on a walk to stretch your legs, taking the stairs instead of the escalator, or going to the gym to get rid of some of your pent up energy.

4. Laughter. We feed off of the energy of the people around us. When we go out with friends or family and are enjoying ourselves we feel happier and energized because we have had a good time.

5. Find a hobby. When we are not working it is nice to have something to do that we can really get involved in. It is very natural for people to want to be productive, especially if they have had a job all of their life. If you can find something that you enjoy, you will be able to feel productive and get to reap the benefits too.

6. Eat good, healthy meals. You are what you eat, and sometimes we find ourselves eating fatty meals that make us feel sluggish. It is important to get lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and good fats because we get the most energy out of natural and healthy meals.
